December 08

What Christmas season would be complete without a trip to Silveyville TREE FARM in Dixon, Ca. ? This year Miles was chosen to be the TREE FINDER for the Williams'.
Since we no longer have the high ceilings in the family room we had to be careful to not find a really tall tree. Otherwise it would scrape the ceiling. Miles selected this one.

With some help from Roman they decided to cut the tree down themselves.Daddy, Help!!!

After the hard work was complete it was time for some cider and fun!Hangin' with Jalen. Toasting by the fire.

Wooden reindeer riders! Job well done. Now lets get this tree home!

The newest Track Star!!!

Miles had his FIRST Cross Country meet this week. It started out as an open meet for all first graders from schools around the area. There were about 50 first grade students in his heat.

The organizer of the event was Doug Butt and this was the 32nd annual event.

The kids lined up ready to run.

Miles jumped ahead and never looked back. He held his lead and defended off the pack behind him.

Coming down the home stretch he battled to keep his second place standing.

Sprinting to the finish Miles crossed the finish line.

Second place out of 50+ first graders

After the race Miles was interviewed by a local reporter of the DAILY REPUBLIC.

Here's the article which was in last Wednesday's paper.
Students are off and running

FAIRFIELD - Miles Williams was out of breath. The Cordelia Hills Elementary first-grader just ran a half mile in 4 minutes, 18 seconds and placed second in his heat of first-grade boys.

'I like running a lot,' he said.

He took a breath.

' 'Cause you get to come in different places

. . .'

Breath.

'. . . and have a fun time.'

Michele Williams, his mother, was also breathing hard. She just ran down the sidelines, two bags slung over her right shoulder, tracking her son with a Nikon SLR camera clicking away.

'Shake it off!' she yells, arms flailing, bags bouncing.

'Come on Miles! Go baby go! Push it, push it!'

Miles's heat was one of eight races held at Allan Witt Park on Tuesday, the first day of the 32nd Annual Doug Butt Run. About 1,400 students from 20 Fairfield-Suisun elementary schools will run in the two-day event, said race organizer Claudia Wilde.

Roman's Third

Roman is THREE!!! Since young Roman has an October birthday we decided to have a HALLOWEEN party.

Roman had the moves of Batman down! He protected his party from wrong do'ers.

Roman loved all the spills and chills of ghost and gobblins. Michele was able to create a spooky treat filled display. Everything was yummy and horrifically gross.

A pumpkin cooler helped to keep all the drinks cold.

The witches "spells" table...

Miles joined in the fun in his full Indiana Jones gear .

Roman really enjoyed his SKULL CAKE. It was centered with a snake circled around it.

Hut - hut!!! Flag Football

Since you have to be 7 years old to play tackle football. We signed up for Flag football in napa, ca.

You can run but you can't hide from Miles

Miles shuts down the drive. ready up.

They try again to run on Miles' side. A speedy running back attempts to slip by. However, Miles is too much for this team. Using his defensive skills he grabs the flag at the last second. Another tackle for a loss.

Miles loves playing football. He shows natural talent especially at Defense. He plays corner back and shuts down his side of the field. (just like his dad)
