The Drought in California is over!!!
The Football season is almost over, but the Napa Saints Junior Midgets Team has some unfinished business.
The Saints have been AMAZING this season. Finishing the regular season at 8-2 with an outstanding 7 shutouts!!! The Defense has been strong all season shutting down the leagues powerful offenses. The only blemishes coming from Clayton Valley Falcons (9-1) and the undefeated East County Lions (10-0). The Saints finished the season with another shutout of San Ramon Bears. Facing off in the first rounds of the playoffs against the Pleasant Hill Running Rebels. After beating them in the regular season the Saints knew what they needed to do to stay on top. Miles had a late long touchdown catch in the VICTORY. The second round of the playoffs had the Saints facing off against the second ranked Falcons that beat them earlier in the season. That mid-season match up found the Saints on the wrong side of a 37-12 LOSS. However the hard work all season paid off and this time around the Saints were ready for the Falcons.
Next up is a rematch with the Lions in a winner takes all title bout for CHAMPIONS of the NEYFCA league. See you in the TURKEY BOWL!!!
We are all proud of this group of boys. They've worked hard and have enjoyed playing together. And it shows on the field.

Winter Break Roller Boogie!!!
Michele celebrated her 45th birthday last week. She wanted to do something special, so we introduced the kids to the OLD FASHIONED art of ROLLER SKATING!!!
After doing a little online research, Michele found a Roller rink in Sacramento. (They still have a few left). It was like stepping back into a time machine. Nothing has changed. The Rink looked as though it was frozen in place circa 1979. Dingy hardwood floors, and broken down lockers lined the walls. The disco ball in the center of the rink, with flickering colored lights. All the details were the same, as we left them 25 years ago, right down to the dusty brown skates with the bright orange wheels were perfect.
